Default after market HID brightness

do you guys feel as if your after market HID's are not as bright as they should be? is there not enough voltage coming out to power the HID's?

mine are pretty bright too, but the thing is that my buddy installed the same kit on his subaru lagacy the same day and DAMN it was waaaaaaaaaay brighter than mine, so i was wondering if our cars are not producing enough power to the bulbs

it takes less to power HID (after startup) than standard halogen bulbs.

Yup. Less power to run them. The problem might be with the kit or the projector lens in the lex. I dont think the non HID car and the HID cars have the same lens right?

what color temp. are you guys getting? 6000k? 8000? also your projectors are not made for HID, its made for halogen, so you wont get the full potential output of the HID. you can always rip open your headlights and take out the projectors and swap it with HID projectors like from a S2000. haha

go in sideways? just wondering, what makes you think your HID does not look bright enough? did you compare it to like another car?
