as for ur rim decision... knock off HREs. no big deal not like HRE is kind of the hill anymore as it is. they'll probably look good in a 19" and could even look good polished on a matador (which i hate but could look good on red just don't go with this on black...here's MY style for my SGM).

yea some might not like the mounting style, the 5 spoke design, the star 5 spoke design, gunmetal, polished lip, or all of it. but i love it and think its the sexiest damn wheels i've ever seen especially for a sgm so screw anyone who doesn't like it. thats the mentality you need when picking out a wheel. if it doesn't scream put me on ur car it probably isn't the right one.

seriously man, its you damn wheel. if you like it what do you care if someone else does. did they pay for it? no. did they pay for your ride? no thats why you put them in the back seat with an ice block instead of A/C...they aren't paying for gas... lol
i like it i like it lol thats definetly saying a mouth full i agree with you and im sure when i post the pics of them mounted on my car then it will change. thanks for the comment though

The wheel that I want comes like this:

Front Wheel 19 x 8.5 Offset Available in 35, 40, 45
Rear Wheel 19 x 9.5 Offset Available in 35, 40, 45

I own a IS350, I just ordered springs for the car, Eibach's

I was wondering what would be the best offset for the car?

I want to try a flush look, but I also don't want to rub at all.

Anybody have any sugguestions?
35 front?
40 Rear?

40 Front?
45 Rear?

Thanks,

Joe

19x8.5 +35 in the front and 19x9.5 +35 rear should be good.

I just found out that the rear rims only come in a 40 offset..

Does anybody see a problem with running a 35 offset in the front and
a 40 offset in the rear?

Do I have a less chance of rubbing with a 35 in the front or a 40?
I'm a little confused..

TIA,

Joe

consult the aftermarket wheel thread by me thats stickied at the top, many great looking setups use similar offsets to those listed in your post. From what Ive seen mid-high 30s on the front and low 40s on the rear

You still haven't pulled the trigger?

BTW, I think the tire sizes suggested in this thread aren't the best.

Going with 235/35/19 and 275/30/19 does 2 negative things:
1. it kills the stagger front to back in terms of the overall diameter. The sizes above amount to the same OD while the stock set-up has a 1" differential. May not seem like a lot and it may very well be within tolerance (or it may not) but you want to keep the stagger as close to stock as possible.
2. You're going to increase the understeer tendency of your ride. The stock stagger (in terms of width) has a 30mm difference between the F and R. You're increasing that differential, which will increase understeer that was built into the car at the factory.

I would suggest going with 265/35's in the rear if you want to keep the fronts the same.

Just my .02

265/35 rear
235/35 front

seems to best most logical for 19''
