I am getting my crystal white 350 front bumper painted as we speak, and was wondering how long should I wait before I put a clear bra on?

I've heard that it takes three days for car paint to dry. Most paint shops will let you drive the car a day or two after the paint job.

I'd probably not drive the car for about four-five days, then clear bra it.

 

Most paint boths have heaters that bake the paint to dry it quick.

 

Pohanka Collision told me 3 months! Lindsay Collision said 3-days.

 

After a fresh paint job, I would at least let the paint cure for a week, just to be on the safe side.

 

It all depends on the paint formulation and whether it was force
dried or air dried. Your body shop should be able to best tell
you that since they know what paint and drying facilities they
used on your car.

 

can i ask why you are getting a bumper painted on a brand spankin' new is350?

 

I Live in Las Vegas, and purchased my car at Stevinson Lexus in Colorado because the guys at Lexus of Las Vegas are ****s when it comes to selling cars. I sell cars so I know. BTW if anyone wants a good deal go to Stevinson Lexus, I got $2900 off compared to $500 off here in las vegas .

Anyways When I got my car it had 2 HUGE HOLES in the front for the license plate and I cant stand the way it looks so I got it painted.
