I think all Lexus are made in Japan, except for the RX hybrid, I think. Can someone confirm?

The 1st digit of your VIN tells you the country of manufature. All of ours will be J for Japan.

The Gen 2 IS is currently being built at the Toyota Tahara and Kyushu plants.

The previous Altezza/IS300 was built at the Iwate Plant aka Kanto Autoworks LTD.

Rx is made in canada. I wonder why lexus did that. Oh well atleast its not american labor.

Since the RX is one of Lexus' volume seller, it was necessary to add RX production in Canada to meet demand. This started in 2003 when the 2004 RX330 was first released. Here on the west coast it's more common to see a Japanese made RX330 than a Canadian one. Only the RX400h is made exclusively in Japan along with the special edition models like the Thundercloud Edition.
