Problems with rain sensing wipers
Just wondering how your rain sensing wipers are working. Mine don't very work very well, and sometimes not at all. I did put aquapel on the windshield the day I bought it, and now I'm wondering if that is causing a problem of the system not recognizing that it's raining.
Any feedback appreciated.

i use rainX. Right after I apply it the water beads off so well that the sensor does not detect it. This doesnt bother me. After a while the wipers work just fine and dandy. I really recommend rainX to all of you. I use it on all the windows. It will rain and no water even touches the windows.

I apply a fresh coat every few weeks and never use my wipers.

I just called the service department where I bought my car. The tech said that Rain-X or Aquapel should have no effect on wiper performance. He said that they've had many complaints from people that find the wiper system very poor. He also said that Lexus is working on a fix for the problem, and it would be covered under warranty. I'll post more info if as I get it.
