If ours has it, your must as well..... Maybe your not hitting the screen in the right spot? I know once I hit the hard menu button, then hit volume on the screen, I push the upper left corner - bottom left corner - top left corner - bottom left corner then the screen appears..... Maybe you should try hitting it a little bit slower....

I have gone out and tried just about every way possible to invoke the screen. Again I had no problem in the 05 Prius. I again went out a few hours ago and tried to touch the screen in varying degrees of top and bottom and did this across the entire screen to no avail. Add to this others who have experienced the same problem. Go figure

Perhaps the navi in the Prius has slightly different firmware. Have you tried the parking light trick while holding various other buttons on the navi unit? It's a shot in the dark, but a shot that I'd try.

I will give that a try.

I tried each and every hard button followed by turning the lights off and on rapidly. Nothing. It may be as someone mentioned above a firmware difference.
