Lexus Brake Caliper Stickers on IS350...
#91
Ok I made my own decal in MS Word and I think it came out pretty darn good. The attached pic has black text but you can invert the colors. I used a font called Alexis and condensed the character spacing by 8 pts. Now it looks exactly like flatline's IS350 decals. This style is just my personal preference, but I can make the other older style IS300 ones too. Hope this helps someone.
Does anyone know where I could get these printed with a heat-resistant adhesive? Or are there any other special requirements? The local Kinko's will print the sticker alright but i don't think it'll last on the caliper with it being hot.
Thanks.

I wonder if you could use this as a stencil rather than a sticker...
Cut out the letters carefully with a razor knife
Paint the caliper the color you want the caliper part (such as black or red)
Apply the stencil you created
paint the letters (such as white or silver)
remove stencil
Then its all paint..no sticker to burn off etc
?

Ideally, I'd like to find a place that can custom print anything I give them, but with an adhesive that works well even in high heat (just like flatline's decals) so that they stay on for a long time. Anyone know of such a place?

To make the lettering last forever. Paint the caliper the color you would like the lettering to be first (lets say red high heat paint) and let dry. Then put the stickers on (don't matter what color) and paint black (high heat) over the whole caliper (sticker and all). Let dry to touch and remove the stickers (before fully cured). No more stickers, only high heat paint.
