Is the air filter on our cars the same as the 06 GS300?

I want to pick up a K&N for my IS. I was looking at the filter on the 06 GS300, it looks similar to the IS's.

Are they the same?

check the applications on the K&N site? run both cars and see if it comes up the same part number

The is no part listed on K&N site or Frams for the IS

For the 05-06 GS300, K&N shows #33-2220. This 33-2220 K&N filter also fits the 01-05 GS430 and SC430. No listing for the IS -- yet.

The OE air filter part#s are different for the GS and IS (furthermore, the 05-06 GS300 also has a "secondary" air filter somewhere). The GS/IS filters may be similar in shape, but different dimensions.

Hopefully K&N will have the air filter for the IS soon ...
