Hi guys

I just found out of this site today, finally a good car forum that I can log on at work. Stupid WEBSENSE.

I have a 2006 IS250 Automatic ( no manual in Taiwan)
Smoky Granite Mica with Sterling interior

got all the options beside NAV, you can only get fully loaded car here in Taiwan.
no option list here.

I will go home and take some pictures, it had been park for two weeks already.

It got less than 600 km on odometer and the car is 3 months old.. still on it first tank of gas.

I drive my old car to work most of time, and drive my BMW during the weekend.. so never have chance to drive it.

but I love IS, very easy to drive, only downside is that the steeling wheel is a bit too lite.

Welcome federalman, thanks for posting the information on the key fob gloves. Post some pictures when you a get a chance and tell us what came with your car. i.e. heated windshield, power folding mirrors, etc.

Congrats on the purchase!

Are you from Taipei?

As for me I would never purchase an expensive luxury vehicle in Taiwan. So crowded on the streets, people cutting you off left and right, parking is *****, etc. There are to many risks of the car getting banged up. But you must be very financially stable if you can afford a car like that in taiwan. It probably cost you $50k+ over there.

Post some pics up!

That is the reason why I don't drive it at all.

I just took some picture of the car, the car was deliver Dec 31 05, and I only have 435km till now.

I drive my Corolla altis most of time, traffic here in Taiwan is just BAD.. and in the weekend I drive my E46 M3.

Is is more of highway cruiser for me, I love the way car goes on highway.. smooth and less attention from other drivers.
posting pictures now.

I will get a set of 20"s when I cind a good suspention setup. Maybe kit next year ba..
don't want to spend too much money on this car.

Yeah well it'd be a bad investment if he bought a $50K scooter, haha!

Congrats on the buy! I haven't been back to Taiwan in 6 years, I think I need to go back soon to visit family.

Congrats on the purchase!

FWIW, my father is from Kaoshiung and my mother is from Tainan who immigrated to the States in the mid-70's.

Cheers,
Kermee

P.S. You can probably guess to my heritage as Taiwan's flag is in my signature banner.

Congratulations on the new IS. Even if you don't use it much it is just fun to know it is yours and you could use it if you wanted to!

I've spent time in Taiwan and enjoyed it a lot. Got scared the way they drive over there though. But I survived with just a few more gray hairs added.

Thanks too for the pictures.

I'd rather much be driving a car in Taiwan then riding a bike... But point taken.

Cheers,
Kermee
