P.S. In the past few days, I have spotted three other IS's on the road while out driving around. One thing that struck me is that, out on the road, it's pretty hard to mistake an IS for anything else.

Never heard the Scion as a similarity - but have heard Chevy Cobalt, Cavalier, Corolla, Mazda 6, etc.
I've heard a lot of talk about the new Camry... very interested to check it out, my parents need a new car.

O.K.
Camry:
IS350:
Note the HUGE difference in taillight design. Also notice that the Camry does not have the lower reflectors that the IS has on its bumper. The difference in size between the rear windows are obvious. The IS has double exhuast pipes. The badges are also positioned in different places. Note the bumper design of the Camry that smoothly connects to the taillights, whereas the IS has a distinct 90 degree angle from the bumper to the light.
Camry:
IS350:
You also have to realize that by size alone, the two are quite distinguishable...

The GF and I went shopping for a new Camry this weekend. She has owned three Camry’s in the past but she was very disappointed in the new model. The Blond wood used inside is horrible and the only other choice is aluminum. She calls the nose a “pig” nose, which the release photos hide very well. The only model you can get heated seats and Nav in is the XLE. Unfortunately they lost another loyal customer to Honda. The Accord with all the options and the color she wanted was in stock without the ugly wood and cheaper than the Camry. I think Toyota is beginning to think they can put anything out there and they will sell. They might be losing their edge. I’m glad I have my IS.

The camry looks nothing like the IS. The tc does have a lot of resemblance.
What angers me a little is that the Sonata looks a little like the IS from the
back. But the IS is much nicer looking if you look closer. If people make this
mistake it just tells me that they know nothing about the cars.

Just for argument sakes, I also work with yellowssm and I agree that camry has nothing to do with IS or even TC like someone said. I had some time in my hands and took some pics.

Does anyone else think the new Camry looks HUGE? I saw one at a dealer last weekend and it just looks massive. I checked the specs and its actually 3" shorter than my current car but it looks a foot longer and wider.
