Is250 Lease in Taiwan
I am posting this thread so you guys have an idea how much an IS250 cost here in Taiwan.
and I got a SUPER GOOD DEAL...
here is all the details.
I got a 2006 IS250 LUXURY SPORT model.
MSRP is NT1800000 = $55385 Us dollars.. YES 55K for a IS250.
but my old man got a major discount I end up paying $1550000 = $47692 US dollars.
My dad knows the Lexus local Manager, and my dad is a better golf player than him, hence the super good deal here.
now the lease part,
I put down NT450000 = US13846 dollars for downpayment (deposit)
my monthly payment is $47000 Nt dollars per month $1446 us dollars a month
36 terms. We do not have buy out in Taiwan, at the end of the lease you can just keep the car or return the car and get your secure deposit back.
I am paying a bit more for my lease because I got the complete package lease deal, I don't have to pay for insurance, parts, TIRES, OIL CHANGES.. nothing.
I basically drive the car the lease company will take care of everything for me.
1 set of tire per year.
This is just let you guys get an idea how much is a IS250 here in Taiwan, and yes this car cost more than my 2003 M3 I got in Vancouver.

pay sux
I know, my wife came over to US around 5 years ago from Taiwan. As a professional, her first job in US paid 7.5x higher than what she used to make while working less hours.
Still though that's a really nice deal! IS250 would be a good and balanced car in Taiwan.
Oh, BTW, if I remember correctly, income tax is by far lower in Taiwan, hence although it looks like 7.5x higher on paper. Actually the amount goes into pocket is only around 4x higher :-(
After deduction of cost of living, prob only 2x higher. (
