anyone figure out a good use for the ashtray if you don't smoke?

they haven't made a coin tray replacement yet, right?
right now I stick my non-bluetooth phone in there while I drive until I switch phones.

any good ideas? (besides just keeping it closed 24-7)

you can take out the ashtray part (make more room) and use it as a coin holder or business card holder.

There is a JDM 'sunglasses' holder. Waiting on Carson Lexus to come back with a part number and price. But yeah, cell phone holder for now.

I removed the ashtray part too and keep my fob in there and removed the cigarette lighter and use that for the radar detector plug in.

Doesnt the IS have a sunglass holder in the roof by the front lights? Could be wrong but thought there is one, and if so what the point of adding another holder?

you are right there is a sunglass holder on top, my sunglasses don't fit it in. But the JDM will also replace the cig lighter which will give you more room but lose an outlet plug. Maybe he has two sunglasses.

Actually, if I include my gf's, I do have two I think the JDM will replace the lighter and has two levels (don't ask me). There is picture on the lexus japan site somewhere.

Ya I removed mine and put my key fob there and use the plug for V1 rader....

I always wanted that part but it looks like some assembly is required. If you get the part number and price and JDM can get it, could you let us know please? Thanks.

I seem to be having trouble getting it out maybe I am not pulling hard enough. Any thoughts on how you were able to remove it?

Don't pull! There's a release on the side, between the ashtray and the cig lighter!

yes slide that latch to the right and the tray will slowy rise out
