Trunk light question???
So I just picked up my IS250 from Glendale Lexus... and I LOVE IT.
IS250 RWD- Navi- Premium Plus Package- Black on Black. Love it!!!
I was messin around and exploring my new car... and had a question.
About the trunk:
Does the light in the trunk turn off automatically when you close the trunk? Or do I have to switch it on and off whenever I need the light?
THANKS!
And will soon post pics of my new ride!

Yes it does turn off automatically. It's like the light in the refrigerator. Congrats on your new ride. It's been a month since I own my IS350 and I still haven't figured out every single feature in the car....but that's the fun part of owning a Lexus.

LOL, thats EXACTLY what I did, and yes, the light does shut off when you close the trunk... My Fiance thought i was crazy, and mentioned that I was paranoid, like the HONDA commercial where the guy has a certified pre-owned accord, and he is closing & and opening the trunk repeatedly, and looking in to see the light goes on and off...

On a related note, I think that the green interior trunk release handle has the funniest instructional graphic of all time. It directs the stick figure to jump out of the trunk, then run away!
I know that the handle would be invaluable in certain situations, but the graphic explaining what to do is priceless.

Yeah, I didn't know about it either until I asked.... When you open the trunk, it's on the top part right in the middle. there is a little toggle switch on it.

time to go home and open the trunk..
I don't remember opening the trunk once.
hehe.
good to be single and too busy to go on a trip long enough that I need to items in the trunk.
most of mid class cars do have trunk light, and I think all the car for sale in N. America have that trunk emergency release handle..
I think it is the law now..
wonder if this is true if you own a hatchback?

Yea... I was pissed when I was going to my trunk and it was dark. The dealership was telling me how luxurious the car was, and I thought to myself, a luxury car without a freakin trunk light. So I just felt around in the dark til I found it. I was gonna be pissed if there wasnt a light.
