Cool

WOW....Looks great, better than the chrome it came with. That's they way they should make the black ones.....but then yours would be like everyone else. A good idea and it works

That's sweet.
I have a tungsten pearl and may want to do black as well.

I came across the following URL.
http://www.g20style.com/How%20to%20M...om%20Grill.htm

I know it's a different car but this guy did his own and it seemed to come out well.

Hey nice job!

Meanwhile in the GS forum... we're taking 98-00s and removing the charcoal painton the grille to reveal the chrome underneath.

It's all about being unique.

Looks good. Would like to see what it would look like with a Black Pearl emblem or no emblem at all.

I'm really liking the look- very sporty, but tasteful. Will you also be doing the headlights and fogs?

Headlights/fogs will be painted as well.. Just need to wait for warmer weather and some courage. I've never done this sort of thing before.

Looking good man, I just finished my fogs, I'll post it when I ge some pictures.

Just so you know, the fogs may cause some problems. In the headlights, the chrome area is plastic which adheres to paint easier. On the fogs however, the chrome is actually metal which doesn't adhere good to paint no matter how much you sand and primer. It might peel if not done right, I'm afraid mine will peel but it should be okay because it doesn't come to contact with anything. Also, a rock chip on your grill might peel the paint as well just because that's how chrome is, doesn't like anything on top of it. But, it might not, good luck with it for sure!

Looks awesome too, me and you, team de-chrome, haha!
