Anybody thought of Nitrous yet?

At the dentist, yes (it was fun ), but not on the car.
I'd be concerned about detonation on a car with a 12:1 compression ratio. Might require high octane unleaded race gas.

I was researching the possibility but am concerned about the high compression and detonation. It would be nice to have an extra 50-75HP at the strip but not at the cost of an engine.
In regards to the 'classy' comment, IMHO, the 'classiness' of a vehicle isn't the determinant of whether a nitrous system should be used or not.
Below is an email thread from Holly (NOS).

Your question was:
Hi there, I am looking for a DIY dry or wet kit for my 2006 IS350. I do not want modify/upgrade any internals; can you recommend which kits would work for this motor?
It is stock with an intake from LMS.
3.5-liter V-6
Horsepower: 306 @ 6,400 rpm
Torque (lbs.-ft.) 277 @ 4,800 rpm
Redline 6,600 rpm
Required Fuel (91 octane) premium unleaded
Thanks!
If you have further questions, please reply directly to this email with history without altering the subject line.

Thanks Joe.
Will the current compression (~12:1) be an issue or will the stock internals be okay?

Hello,
Just make sure to use high octane pump gas and no chips that advance ignition timing. Decrease the plug gap to .035 to .037 and go one step colder on the heat range than stock.
Thanks

Well, if I were to go ahead with it, I would put a big aluminum wing, NAWS sitckers on every window and body panel and purge at every light.
Kidding aside, I think the compression is too high BUT if I were to install a nitrous kit, you wouldn't be able to tell it was there (other than a close inspection of the engine bay - the bottle would be in a carpeted enclosure and any necessary hardware would be tucked away).
Even with a 50HP shot and spare tire/weight removal, you might see 12's.

To do Nitro on a late model cars a bit more work.
plugs, direct port, and balancing the fuel.
but it can be done, just how bad do you want it.
but the car is just too new for any sure answer, just wait a bit more.
pay to play but don't over pay.
I will like to get a super charger hehe.
