While washing the wifes IS this weekend I noticed a rock chip close to the sunroof. So today I decided to pick up some touchup paint and to my surprise it was 2 bottles. 1 is for the base coat and the other one for the clear coat. Does anyone have any experience on how someone would go about applying this properly? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
thx

I used touch-up paint on my Pearl White Solara a couple of years ago.
Apply a very small drop of the base coat (color coat) on the chip. DO NOT BRUSH ON!!! Let it dry.
After it dries, apply a very small drop of the clear coat (pearl) on the chip. DO NOT BRUSH ON!!! Let it dry.
That's it. The paint evaporates into a flat coat. It may have a round border, but otherwise covers a visible chip. Good luck!

I know for my 06 GX in Blizzard Pearl paint (code 70), it requires a base coat, a mid coat and then a clear coat. I think they call it a tri-coat paint. Your paint sounds easier to apply.
