Default When are details coming out for '07 models?

Anybody know when details about the '07 are coming out? Or any guesses? I don't want to buy until I hear more about the '07 in case I want to wait for one of those.

Thanks,

Todd

I thought the '07s were physically coming out in October. I am just looking for details. Like changes from '06 etc. Just stuff on paper.

It will be more expensive!

Chances are slim of any changes-

Will XM/Sirus Radio be standard on all 2007 IS models??

It's kind of sad that this isnt standard now.

I don't think Sat Radio will be standard across the line. XM will be the only FACTORY install option (if it's available as a factory option on the 07's). Sirius will be a dealer only option, and mostly at Penske dealerships.

Yes it is sad that Lexus is dragging it's feet on making this standard.

I don't really care for XM or Sirrius. I'm glad they haven't made is std yet so I am not being charged more.

But anyway, no one has answered my question yet on when details are going to be released. I am guessing no one knows.

As much as you can believe dealers, who haven't had a tremendous amount of info on the '06's , I've been told numerous times there won't be any "significant" changes on the '07's. Maybe some minor interior changes/options. As popular as the 06's are, and with the backlog they have, I can't imagine they would do much to them.

Thanks,

My educated guess would be around the end of August. I definitely want XM Satellite Radio as a factory-installed option for my 2007 GS 350 AWD.

I have a copy of my purchase order and on it in pen is says "2007 plus $190"

Take it for what it's worth, but everything else on the PO is typed up. The conditions of my contract is that if the car arrives as an 2007 model, I would get MSRP -$2000. Salesman said before I ordered that the 07's would be going up in price, but not sure how much. The next day he placed the order and 3 weeks later I finally got a copy of the PO created March 14th, with the handwriting entered on it later. I'm not going to call and bug him what the writing meant, but will mention it when I talk to him in 2 weeks.

$190 sounds reasonable for a new year increase without buyers throwing up too much fuss.

if the price is going up they are adding some things, i would be quite dumb for them to increase MSRP but not change anything

It'll be more than that. More like 1-2%. Though I did just read that Toyota has cut some manufacturing costs, so maybe price increases will be minimal. I expect at least $300.

As far as changes, Toyota usually makes 0 changes in year 2 of a generation, except maybe reshuffle some option packages. That's it. If something becomes standard that is currently optional, expect the price to go up accordingly. The majority (not us) buy them off the lot, and they are selling like hotcakes. There is little reason to expect majoy option package changes.

Styling changes come usually with the 4th year. However, something minor might be done for 2008.

Thanks for all the input. Maybe I will just go ahead and shop around and see if I can get the right deal and packages I want. Wish me luck!!!

My belief is zippo. When I was looking at the G35 coupe, I was told there wouldn't be any changes to the '06 model. Right.

I think it's pointless to speculate. If Lexus thinks it can make some changes that will make the IS sell better, they will. Just look at what went from optional to standard right before the '06 launch. Buy now or lease if you're worried. Everyday without the IS is a day of missed fun.
