You hate to see something like that happen to such a nice car. A lot of people these days just have a lack of integrity. Sorry to see that.

Seeing that is painful especially since I also have black... At least it's only a scratch and can be repaired... This car is really cursed!!!11!!1

On a side note.. I just found out the lower part of my mirror got scratched... Wtf....

If it's just paint transfer, which appears to be what I'm seeing, then find a good detailer or body shop that does detailing work and ask them to try buffing it out. A few abrasives followed by a polish with a rotary can work wonders.

Well, you lucked out, I'd agree with mcfly, looks like you just got a bit of paint from the other car.

Whatever you do, don't try and buff it out yourself, some of those abrasive paint buffing products can leave you worse off than before you started.

Definitely bring it down to a shop for an estimate. Have them try to buff it. If they can't buff it out, atleast the damage is localized to the bumper cover (which happens to be plastic). They can just repaint the bumper. It shouldn't come to that, but if it does, atleast it wasn't a metal bit, and atleast the plastic isn't cracked.

Sorry about your experience.

The scratches down low by the tire look like more than paint transfer.

Good luck with getting things resolved to your satisfaction.

Went and bought some Mcguires Scratch X.... looked like it worked pretty well at first but then when it dryed up, the sctraches came back, heres how it looks now also while I was out there I put on the red outs....a lil darker than I expected them to be, but still better than orange.

Have you tried a Porter Cable with those products?

It may help minize the scratches

My suggestion is
1) meguires fine cut cleaner
2) meguires showcar glaze

If the scratches seem to disappear when you use scratchx, perhaps some buffing will help.

You have to rub and rub and buff that scratch x stuff. It will work, but it takes time and lots of coats. Only problem I saw is that it looks like some of the scratch may be too much to buff out because the paint is gone.

this one doesnt look like paint transfer, may have to be repainted, especially towards the bottom, it looks like it took the paint off down to the plastic
