i cut off the black and yellow wires b/c you dont need them. then i stripped the ends and started twisting. i used a soldering to tint the ends b/c i felt that they were pretty thin and cripped on the pins:
i used heat-shrink tube to seal the ends so that it will stay in place and flatted the tips b/c they did not fit well

Black - negative/ground
ya, I used the car side simply because the car side of the harness had wider access to pin in the hardwired pin at the end of the pigtail wire i made.
I went to radio shack and purchased D9 sub pin connector p/n 276-1427, cost was $2.99:
From there i simply stripped the wire from a spare escort cable i had, the pig tail squiggle cord....uses a light tester and verified which wire was postive and which was negative and simply soldered the wires to the pins.
Car side connector is the side of the connector closes to the headliner - with the pins that most of the online kits come with and the pins i used from radio shack wont fit on the orange/blue side of the connector.
The car side has a much wider access of the wire and pushing the pins in was simple and held tight with no issue.
Car side:
From there, i just put the plastic harness cover back on and everything came out looking very clean looking.
My friend was happy to get this installed........his 2nd gen IS250 -2006.

Update
FYI:
For 2009 Lexus IS250 models
I did exactly this..
Bought a BlendMount MT-2012 MirrorTap from amazon. Great customer service, fast shipping.
I have an autodimming rear view mirror with a concealed plug.
I was scared to do my installation because everyone used welding and removed the whole rearview mirror.
This was TOO easy.
All I did was remove the Car side black attachments that hold the cables together. That is done by simply 1. removing the outer covering by pulling out and to the side. Then 2. removing the inner black plastic covering by simply lifting up.
Exposed is the car side plugs with 3 wires, pink, black, and white with black stripes.
Now this install was so easy I kind of forgot what plug went where. I believe I put the red micro plug into the black compartment and the red plug into the black and white compartment. And by compartment I mean the small little plug that the cable runs into.
That's it. I simply plugged it in and fired up my Escort Redline with no issues.

Can anyone help me with the wiring here?
V1 (yellow/green/black/red connector on the left) to a 2008 IS-F mirror. I've tried red->blue and green ->orange, as well as yellow-> blue green -> orange, neither worked.

Hi. Quick question (already did a site search but nothing specific seems to come up) - looking to buy a mount for my V1. 2017 GS 350 F Sport. Looking to buy a mount that attaches to the rear view mirror. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
