Intuitive Parking Assist uses ultrasonic sensors that you can see on the front and rear bumpers (two on each of the front corners and 4 on the back bumper) that sense objects. When it does sense something it sounds an audible tone and for those of us without nav displays a graphic is displayed in the instrument panel indicating where the object is (It is displayed on the screen that tells you the outside temp and the other stuff). The faster it beeps, the colser you are to the object until it becomes a constant tone. Then you are about one foot from it.
