Looks good, but I think topping it with Souveran was a mistake... now any time you want to apply another layer of sealant you're going to have to strip everything to make sure you have a good foundation to allow a proper bond.

I know there are a ton of people that think Zaino on its own doesn't offer the depth that a wax does, and decide to topcoat it like you did, but I've never really noticed that much of a difference between Zaino and any good wax to be honest.

Regardless, very nice detail. I've never been partial to the Lexus red but it pops nicely!

Car looks great! Zanio is considered the gold standard by most enthusiasts I think. I have always been too lazy to use it though.

Good to see fellow .Mac users. The only way to go in my mind.

The Zaino web site now says that topping is okay. Just wash the car with dish soap to remove any left over wax and then add another layer of Zaino. Only way to get the Zaino off is to re-clay. So I like the look and figure the wax layer will add a little dirt scratch protection when washing to the Zaino layer. Time will tell. The goal with careful washing is to not have to take all the Zanio off and start over...

Looks awesome! I have been using Zaino for years on all of my vehicles. It is the best! I can't wait to pick up my vehicle next week because the first thing I am doing is the Zaino process.

Zaino has a ton of different products on its site. I'm just looking to buy what I really need to keep the car looking good. Anyone know what the essential products I need to have?

Follow the Zaino site instructions specific to your paint type (clear coat, etc..) I would encourge the use of the ZFX additive to speed cure time. Also check out the how to Zaino link in the detailing forum here on Club Lexus, I followed with sucess many of their tips..

I'm not entirely convinced that Dawn (or similar) won't strip Zaino, but I have yet to re-dawn the car after applying Z2/5. So we'll see...
