Default 250 MT no longer in production

Can someone confirm this? I just spoke lexus and was told they're gonna stop producting the 250 rwd manual for the year. The only way to get one is by special order

sigh...guess there's no point in me doing a special order for one when i can wait for next year's model

Who said that? A dealer or someone at Lexus/Toyota corporat? If its a dealer, ignore it. That just means they don't have any to sell you and are trying to push you into something they DO have to sell.

I had one Lexus salesman tell me that the 250 RWD was only made with a MT. He said 250 RWDs with ATs were not made. I did not say anything back to him. I ened up buying a 250 RWD with an AT from another dealer. Maybe I should drive my 250 back to the first dealership to have some fun with that salesman.

The best thing to do is to look on Lexus' website and pick out the options you want and then check with multiple dealers to find the IS with the options you want.

I also heard this. Source was from Rockville on the forums. He works for Lexus of Rockville.

It has been said they will stop producing the IS250 6MT. Only way to get one is special order.

But he did mention this applied for the eastern region, since that is where is he located. We don't know for sure if it will happen through the whole U.S.

the person i spoke with was an internet sales manager at lexus of cherry hill. i was a lil iffy about what she said which was why i came here. but given the demographic on the amount of available 250 MT's it seems so close to be true.

why offer a car if u're not gonna make it!

Go to Lexus's website. View all the available options/combo's. That's about the extent of the information the dealer has. Anything beyond that, they're pretty much guessing at.

The same can be said for their options.

Go to Audi's website and you'll see that each car now has a few options that are customer order only. Just means they're trying to limit the combinations they expect a dealer to stock. Of course, this is a more an issue with an option that must be test driven to have a sense of how well it will perform.

A manual in the Cadillac CTS or Mercedes C-Class isn't officially special order only, but it might as well be since these dealers in my experience very rarely stock manuals.

If this rumor is clue, Lexus is just joining the club.

Since a salesman at Rockville Lexus told me to not listen to what you read on the Internet, perhaps you shouldn't listen to what this Rockville poster says
