My son's tricked audi A-4 got "knifed" from front to back, another car on the block had tires slashed and on another street a guys work truck got hit as well. Called the cops thinking we need a report for insurance. Cop rolls up and says that better than taking a report how about I bring you the 2 kids that did it and you can demand payment, work, take to court- our call! This cop had gone to the house, found the backpack with knife inside- Kids had been stopped in area for curfew the night before so they put 2 and 2 together!
We had them pay the 2k for repaint, the work truck found a new employer for the summer as well! The cop brought the kids to each of our houses so they had to deal with us all face to face- Man were they hurting by the end of the day! Great lesson for them and a big bill to pay as well. They had snuck out of the house and the parents had no idea-
I wish all events ended like this- this cop put in the time and maybe set these guys down a better path- (14 and 16 year-olds)

my honda was keyed while I was playing basketball with my friends. I caught him, and all my friends came over and we pinned him down. The dude was scared cuz he didnt want me to call the cops. We made him to pay $2500. He deserved it.
