Default I just got the finger...

So yea I have had my IS 350 for just 2 days now and i was driving down the street with almost no one around me and this white mexican pickup comes hauling up behind me. I look over and I see the passanger flick me off as I turned off to another street. ( I wasn't doing anything wrong) This car is amazing . Ive never been in a car that just got flicked off for being really nice.

Well, maybe you should take it as a compliment then.

Was there a point in mentioning "mexican" in your description?

Would it have bothered you if he said, " and this black georgia pickup comes hauling up behind me. "

Or how about " and this red oklahoma pickup comes hauling up behind me. "

Point being, a spade is a spade. If the driver was mexican, it is what it is........ And hopefully our legislature can do something about it in the near future.

...i thought the "mexican pickup" thing was pretty descriptive....a little stereotypical, but i knew what he was talking about! just like if he said "ricer" or something like that to describe a car. congrats on getting flipped off, i think havent been flipped off yet myself, or even mean looks, but have gotten a lot of "what the hell is that?" looks. congrats on the new car ... and ***** you.

True...I knew exactly what he meant. I see "Mexican pickup trucks" all over the place. Nothing personal, its just that Mexican folks have a definite style to their vehicles.

Flipping the finger means "F.U."

Perhaps he found you sexy in the car...

Not sure why that comment is being made, I'm sure you like the rest of us have been taught to be respectful of other cultures/nationalities/races and if it's an offensive statement someone has the right to speak up about it.

The story would have been just as meaninful without describing the truck as mexican as it had no point to the story.

"So yea I have had my IS 350 for just 2 days now and i was driving down the street with almost no one around me and this white pickup comes hauling up behind me."

(No difference in the story) so why offend someone unnecessarily

The CAR has nothing to do with it. It's the PEOPLE behavior that causes the incident.
