Default Anybody buy an extended warranty?

Have not seen this posted here and I am curious if anyone has bought one.

I suspect you all flip cars pretty fast compared to me...

I did. I usually keep my cars for 7 years, so I picked up their Platinum Warranty Package for $2k. http://www.lexus.com/models/warranty...omparison.html

The great thing is that since I got 2k off MSRP, it's like the warranty was tossed in for free....

Keep in mind you don't have to purchase warranties through the dealer. I've found some competitive prices for various warranty options, which many times beat the dealers price. This can be used to get them to lower their pricing if you recieve a better quote.

Very true. I got mine from the bank that financed my car. I paid $500 total and my coverage is 7 yrs/100k, whichever comes first.

Fastgirl, I'd shop around if I were you. $2000 is too much for extended warranty.
