Default Lexus is250 > 325ci

I was on the interstate today driving, like I always do. When out of noware comes this BMW 325ci hauling like there is no tomarrow. The BMw cuts behind me and begins tailing flashing its lights. So I figure maybe they think I am a 350 ? I accepted the challenge and pulled out and the BMW soon followed. For about maybe 3 miles it was on my tail constantly. Until i pulled out behind this truck and floored it. The BMW could simply not keep up. I slowed down waved and got off at the exit. So this was my small amount of fun for the day. I usually wouldnt do this but the interstate was practically empty for some reason.

*note* the damage on my car done to me by my mother wa snot that significant. If anyone was wondering.Just scrapes and a dent.

Anyone else have any stories ?

a 325ci is a seriously slow car....with its (old rating) 184hp and the fact that it's a coupe would mean that most cars would be able to beat it in a straight line...

If it was a e90 325i the outcome would have been different.

Are you sure? Looking at the specs it seem to favor the E90 325i when it come to performance over the IS250. n this case I think the 325i is a little faster than the IS250. It is lighter as well with more HP and equal torque. If you are talking about the IS350 than I agree. No question the 325 would lhave no chance.

You sure about that.

e90 is a quicker then the IS250. Not by alot but its faster.

Its basically a detuned 3.0 engine from the e90.

The website is AWESOME, but I'd rather have a 2007 Camry than that thing...

There was nothing I liked about the old ES. The Lexus batch on the hood insted of grill bothered me so much for some reason.

But this new one looks pretty nice. And as you can see has pretty much all the same features available as the IS (minus hp) for about $5k more on average. (I did a 'build your ES' and base was about $37k.

Always been the case with German HP ratings, BMW specifically. The old e46 with 184hp felt like a Japanese car with 230...

Especially on the highway - I'd put my money on any 1999-up 325 against an IS250.
