Default Some pics of my car (after 8 hours of detailing today)

A few of you guys saw some swirlies at a local meet recently.. well, a majority of those swirlies are gone after 8 hours of labor and a lot of insight from autopia

went out for some night shots in Cerritos. If you want some of these shots (and many more) for a background, PM me and I'd be glad to email 'em to you. they're about 700k each file.

Always gotta rep the emblem:

Don't tell the cops that i was trespassing at the Cerritos library. The sheriff station is right next door (my lights were actually beaming at their front door lol)... the reason this shot is a bit blurry is b/c i was a bit rushed.. you wonder why :neener:

@ the parking structure next to the LG building in Cerritos towne center

some fountain shots (i almost got ran over 4 times trying to get these shots)

if you enjoy, please gimme some props again, pM me if you want to use these as a background - i'll send you a larger file.

Nice detailing pictures. 8 hours is time well spent detailing it especially when its a black car. I have yet to do mine ever since I bought my car.
Also noticed that your car's name is ISabelle, my baby's name is also Isabel.

What was your process?

What products did you use?

Hand or Buffer?

8 hours is about right if you wanna get a good job in.

First - i just washed with regular car soap. (35 min)
Second - Claybar using Maguir's detailing. (1.5 hrs)
Third - Buffed it out with some Road Warrior (or Road Something.. i forget, my friend provided me with his buffer and all the chemicals we used) (3 hrs)
Fourth - First coat of wax with some Klasse cleaning wax (red bottle) (1 hr) (cleaning/smoothing wax)
Fifth - Second layer of wax with some other Klasse wax that was a lot thicker and heavier (grey bottle) (1 hr) (makes it shinier)
Last - Last layer of PS21 wax (1 hr) (gives the paint a deeper look)

all-in all, around 8 hours to do. I don't really remember the name of the chemicals... i'm going to try going the Zano route one of these days. Supposedly it looks real good on black cars

Nicely done I just did mine last weekend, took about 4hrs. wash, clay, polish, wax, glaze, paste...atuopia is a great resource. Dont drive to fast, went out 3 miles after I did mine and yup, bugs were plastered to the front so soon...Ahhhh oh well time for its weekly bath.

Awesome job! Those 8 hours definitely paid off. If you get a chance, post some day time pictures as well so we can see the trees/clouds reflections.

Awesome job with the detailing. Ive been waiting for it to stop raining in SOcal so I could detail my car. Im suprised you got all those shots w/o getting in trouble. Ive tried to similar shots somewhere else and got in trouble with security personnel.

Beautiful car. Can't wait to have mine detailed. Still too much sand on the roads here to be worth it at this time.

Is it just the pics, or is your front lip taking a beating? Mine is too...
