Couldn't you just take the key out of the fob, leave ithe fob in the car, and unlock with the key? Or that won't work?

wait, now i get it. you are asking if you can lock the car from outside when the engine is running? for sure that won't work

Anyone know anything more about the remote start accessory? I'm sure this would solve things. Wasn't someone working on an aftermarket one that used the standard key fob? I thought I read that somewhere on here..

Then you would have to pop the cover off of the door handle to get to the key hole.
