Get the 350, I think you'll regret getting the 250. I had the same feelings as you i was set on the 250 but once i drove both of them then the decision was obvious =P. Best deal I'm working with is $44,000 tax and all included.

I have Nav in my car and I never ever use it. In fact, I usually have the screen off. It is a total waste of money unless you drive 1000's of miles in LA, SFO or NYC.
The only reason I have Nav is the dealer felt bad when they couldn't find the base car I wanted and threw it in.
All I wanted was the Spyder rims, spoiler and the 3.5l engine. The base Prem Pkg is just fine as far as options go but, you will probably be limited in what you can find as far as color combos go.

I got the Base and no nav, exactly what I wanted. I have no use for Nav as I know by heart the roads in most cases or check Mapquest before I leave and I live in DFW so the area is pretty big.
I'll never pay extra for Nav unless it has a real-time Traffic Assist feature.

Gas prices here at a cheap station yesterday - 91 was $3.10 and 93 was $3.15. The IS350 requires 91 or higher. I've only averaged 18 mpg since I got the car - all in-town driving.
Regarding Nav. To me that is the best thing about the car and I don't use the Nav to map my routes. I use it for the Bluetooth phone function. It is much safer than having a phone stuck to your ear......although other drivers seeing you talking to yourself might make them wonder
I use it for the calendar and appts, lowering/raising temps, etc. Don't want to go on and on but there are lots of features of the Nav other than mapping your routes.

That a decision that only you can answer really... What is more important to YOU? Me personally, I knew my next car HAD to have NAV. My sense of direction isn't the greatest, and the 250 didn't excite me as much as the 350 so I opted for a 350 with nav. Obviously that is going to cost more, but if you want both, I suggest you wait and save up a big enough down payment to bring your monthly down to where you want it. New cars are a big investment that you'll have for a few years most likely, might as well get the one you want instead of regretting the pruchase later.

I would always take power over "fluff", nav is definitely a personal opinion. If you travel to alot of unfamiliar places, it's pretty cool. If you don't, definitely not worth the price IMHO. We have it on one of our vehicles and have rarely used it. Just depends on your driving habits. You will enjoy the extra 100 horses EVERY time you hit the gas pedal, though .
