Default HID Install HELP!!

I think all of you have seen my thread about PROXENON.COM

Well now I have the wrong product....

And the company won't answer any emails for the past week....

I plan on installing these for my fogs....

My #1 question is off of the balast I have two thick wires coming out of it.....

One has a connector, the other has a black and a red wires.....

I am not really sure to which part this is supposed to connect too....

I have a second pic of the rest of the kit....

You'll see the connector on the left... I think that this is supposed to connect there....

But I am not totally sure......

Any advice would be great.....

Thanks,

Joe

That's a ballast in your first pic. On the right side there's power connectors red (+12V) and black (Ground).

On the left side there's two connections for your HID bulb.

Get professional help/installation if you don't know how to install. My advice.

+1.

It's pretty clear what you posted.

Also, for the record, I'd like to mention that those Ballasts look terrible. I wouldn't want them in my car.

If you look at the relay you'll see the plug that comes off of it thats not connected.....

it's in the second picture......

I understand that the one is power and the other is ground....but should I strip off this connector and connect the balast to the relay...

It doesn't take a professional installer to install these....
When the cabling comes from the manufacturer in it's correct format...

I know the kit I have is half ***, I thank proxenon for this....

Well, I can't tell exactly what you have on that harness without seeing the relay and wiring up close.

I'd definitely run those ballasts through a relay (direct connect to battery, triggered by the fog lights). - I'd question the quality of those ballasts. If they pull more current than is printed on the outside, you might melt something.

In my experience, on low end kits like the one you have, the relay harness tends to be cheap enough that I'd just make my own. (12ga Primary Wire from any auto parts store + crimps + relays + Fuse Holders).

Hey bro.

Well it looks like most of the parts are connected already.

Now, if you would pull the light out of the socket, you would plug the Open connectors to the car Lighting harness (main power connector on the car). Make sure you know which is Positive and Negative before connecting--or it might blow the Ballast.

Post some better pics, and I'm sure you'll get some more help.

Like post each piece of the kit individually.

Then post a pick of them all together, where they are seen all equally and someone could (me) could point stuff out to you thourgh diagrams on the pictures.
