Default alarm went of for no reason

My 350 was parked outside my house all night and this morning when I started out the door of my house the car alarm went off for apparently no reason. I pushed the lock buttor on the remote and it stopped. Any thoughts? I have 2500 mi on the car and lock it every evening with the button on the door of the car either driver or passenger side.

Was it in your pocket? Sometimes, the buttons can be a bit sensitive. You may have pressed the alert/panic button unknowingly.

I did the same with the unlock button once. I was walking towards the car without holding the key, and the windows started rolling down by themselves. I never put the keys in the pockets of my jeans anymore...

the factory alarm... as in the horns and lights? or a dealer optional alarm...as in lights and sirens?

because if it was the horns and lights.... theres pretty much no way it would go off unless someone actually broke in, or you pressed the panic button.

Default the key was in my pocket

and I guess from both of your suggestions I must have activated the panic button. Thanks for the input time will tell
