I let him ride in the IS. Only in the back though. An airbag deploying in your dogs face can easily injure your dog, not to mention the windshield. I just put a blanket down and tuck it in where the velcro is. No biggy. Not much you can do about the hair, just vaccum it up. I also do not let anyone sit in the back. not because of the dog or his hair, just my own rule.

When it is all said and done, I love my dog more than my car.

I'd say get the dog seatbelt in addition to the thick seat cover, that way the dog wont be able to move as much around the car, containing a lot of the hair in one area.

In my 4Runner . Unfortunately for him, my 100 lb. German Shepherd will not see the inside of my 350.

Haha lots of great replies and lots of funny ones too
My dog is 40lbs.

I guess I will get some cover and let him sit in the front.
Do you think walmart will have them?

My dog is 60lbs and sets off the seat belt alarm. It's very anoying and I can't get that little trick to work that turns them off. I attach the seatbelt behind her, but she tends to get tangled up in it.
I just put and old sheet accross the whole front of the car. I don't want her to scratch my luxurious silver painted plastic console.
