I also have my IS300 which is lowered and rides on 19" wheels w/35series tires and it rides better than the 350 does.

What's up Eric.......How did I know you were gonna be on CL soon

Sorry to hear that you must have gotten the wrong option to go with the car. If you tried the bimmer before, you will know that 350 sport is still smoother than the bimmer.

I think trading your suspension away is a best bet

On most road the Lexus feels smoother than a BMW. But the IS350 rides horribly on freeways that have expansion joints and I have the Luxury Package. Almost feels like a truck. Okay I'm exaggerating but my BMW 330Ci with sports package did not have this problem.

I ordered the luxury package because I want a soft ride for right now, but when Im ready to move up to the sport suspension . . . I will buy aftermarket. That is half the reason I got lux instead of sport, I knew i would want to modify it anyway . . .

The better the car handles the more stiff it usually is. The 18" sport rims and ZR tires are the first step. Replace them with some floaters and I get it gets a lot smoother.

The IS350 handles exceptionally well. I've seen BWM come up a few times in this thread but I’m comparing it to my old S2000's and Sti. I can man handle a great corner just as well and such as fast. Is the IS350 as "tossible".. no its not but the thing handles like a champ.. and the S2000 and Sti are champs.
I don't have my IS350 with sport yet but I can say that STI is STIFF. You will feel every crack in the raod.

I've got more $$ in modifications on my GS than a loaded IS350 costs so it'll be around as my toy for a few more years until I can pick up a 1yr old LS460 or possibly M5 or E55. I'm considering selling my LS for an IS350 or ES350 as a beater / daily driver car in the next few months though.

If you've got a lux and want to trade for a sport, you should consider contacting IS300to350 who started this thread
