Default yet another HID thread. 56K beware

Just throwing this out there in case anyone wants some more pics relative to a stock HID.

low beams: H11 MTEC 6000k HID conversion kit $300
fogs: 9006 MTEC 4750K cosmos blue $38
parking lights: 194 refractor 5-LED $6

everything purchased on ebay. Total install time was ~4 hours, but if I had to do it again it would probably take 45 minutes.

The kit came with a grommet, but due to heat exhaustion (I did the install in garage), I did NOT use it. I actually took off the dust covers entirely and just shoved some towels in there temporarily to keep the dust out. 2 rainy days later and multiple car washes, no problems and no condensation. If something comes up in the future I'll probably go back in and reinstall the dust covers with grommets.

No relay was included with the kit, I did NOT upgrade the fuse. 2 weeks, no problems.

I basically just followed the instructions found on CL. Foglights accessed through wheel well.

I did side by side pics with my STOCK G35 coupe HID lights for comparison. The pics make the MTEC kit look bluish, but they're actually pure white and make the G35 lights look yellow. I have the itch to change the bulb in the G35 now.

Nice pictures! I wonder what the color difference between stock HID and your aftermarket ones are?

Looks great! I should get the MTEC kit instead of the McCulloch kit.

linh811: what park LEDs did you buy? post the vender from ebay .
I bough some 194 type Leds off ebay for park lights, and they were too big around to fit through the opening in the headlamp on the IS350. They were very bright, fit the socket, but I couldn't get them in the headlamp opening.
I guess I wil use them for my driveway runway marker lights.
let me know I appreciate it .
