Lots of new IS's in NYC
Hey All,
Like other people around the country, I too have noticed a huge increase in IS's in my neck of the woods over the past 1-2 weeks. I used to see maybe one a month, but for the past week I've seen one every day. It's weird though, all the other ones I've seen have been 250 AWD. I saw a crystal white without nav, a blue onyx with nav, and a tungsten pearl with nav...
Have any of you guys been cruising in NYC? Are people in the rest of the country still seeing a lot more 2IS than they were before?

I see them alomst every day down here. There was a Matador red 250 in the movie theater parking lot yesterday. Base model, not one option other than the 18" wheels which every car down here has. But for the most part, I see as many 250's as I do 350's.

In Pittsburgh it is still a rare sight for me(about 1/mo). None in our neighborhood or our huge parking lots at work.
I was in Indy last month and saw two in about 30 minutes I got to peek my head out of meetings. In DC last weekend, saw one. All were 250 AWD. Haven't seen a 350 outside of the dealership yet in the areas I have been to.

I have yet to see another IS 250 or 350 anywhere in Manhattan or NJ. Its a amazing to me that so many people from California on this site alone have it. Actually, I asked my dealer today when I called them about how they sold the IS. They said it was moderate but did not keep up with GS and ES models.
Lexus is promoing the hell out of it. The ran a spot right before the 6pm news on sunday (big money spot) at my tv station that I work at. They have bene running the IS commercial more often as of late.

I also forgot to mention I like having a more unique car too. There are tons of Bimmers here in the city esp 3 series. Ive seen so many of them. Not the IS, and i really like that!
