Hi there mr. BeboT
I'm sure some people don't see the matter as challenging as others. As for my experience thus far - both the Lexus Tech people and the local installer shop that I've consulted with have tried strapping w/ more negative experiences then positive. I have since researched further and found a variety of methods that people have tried and been successful with, including DIY strapping, using a over the counter kit, and a combination of over the counter kit w/silicone involved.
That said, this would be an expensive solution should one of your straps ever fail. As was explained to me, your tire pressure sensor will be banging around for a few seconds until it virtually disintegrates. The warning lights on the dash will warn you of a possible problem. You will have to somehow remove the sensor and replace it which involves parts and labor costs of somewhere in the $200 range. And you will still have to face the uncertainty of any of your sensors again becoming loose.
I understand without it, we might not be able to tell if we have a flat (run flat tires), in turn, damage to wheels is possible - It's more probably that we will be able to tell if there's a tire pressure problem (feel free to correct me/ flame me if I'm wrong).
Then again.... your guy might have experienced this before and been able to come up with a viable alternative solution. I hope this is the case. Please share your experiences when you get your wheels. I'll be sure to let you know how the Wheelbarrow in the trunk experience is

keeeeez, please share any info you get as well, it's promising to hear that vark used the OE stems and made them work and I'm hoping this is the reason my wheel/tire guy isn't worried.

I took a look where the valvestems come out (inside the hub)....dude, this is gonna be a pain IMO to put air into your tires. Not that it can't be done, but to me, it looks like a hastle (and putting a wheelbarrow tire in your trunk is classy, right ). For a mesh wheel it would be more difficult to fill your tire with air then say a star wheel.. damn.. i shoulda got Volk SF Challenges!

i have heard but I dont know if it works for sure.....put all of the sensors inside the spare tire and fill it to the proper psi and that in theory should fix your problem.....just dont ever use the spare

you could drill into your wheels to make a perfect fit for the sensors. Some of the new GS owners and other types of cars with tire pressure monitoring system has done that to their wheels.
