Not necessarily. The Ford Crown Vic Police Interceptor that most PDs in the US buy is no speed demon, you should easily be able to outrun it in your IS350. But as the old saying goes, "You can't outrun Motorola".

You can hide in the airport though.
Gotta love those no-fly zones. Helicopter, what helicopter.

hmmm really? i have heard some rumors around here that more and more Ford Crowns' are getting superchargers. and come to think of it.. when i was driving one day on I-40 with barely any cars on it... a 350z passes me on the left lane going about 110...... noticing that my radar detector was going crazy as i approached a obscure hill on the side, i maintained my 70 mph. obviously this idiot doesn't have a radar detector and boldly speeds by the hillside. i'm still behind and i come close enough to see the Ford Crown pull off his hiding spot and floorin that *&#@... I could hear the high revs clearly.. and the cop looked like it did a 0-60 of 5 secs. o.O

anyone know the specs of the Popo's version of the Ford Crown?

According to Ford's website, the 2006 Crown Vic Police Interceptor has a measly 250 horsepower.

I was hoping they would have a picture of the 250 with cop lights and paint job. Like you see sometimes on Lamborghinis and whatnot.
