dude you spent 8 hours detailing and never shined up the tires..... what gives...lol!
Yea. Its usually one of the first things I do but I guess I skipped it. I didn't want to get the foam on my car after I finished detailing. Oh well. Thanks for the compliments guys.
Great job on the detailing. You car looks so shiny that your reflection on the car is very visible. Glad to know that there are alot of people on this forum who are as meticulous with their car as I am with mine. So I am not crazy after all.
depends though, a full wash, full clay bar, full polish, and then wax. for a guy in his own garage, i think that's reasonable
I agree, a good claying on a car could take 2-3 hours alone. Then you factor in a couple of coats of wax with dry time between, polish, etc and it adds up to a long day. Mine is coming up this weekend...

good luck, you need a lot of elbow grease
i fully detailed my gs400 and sc430 before, 8 hrs on each (whole day basically) was pretty normal
8 hrs! wow...your car sure looks great. not sure if I would have that kind of patience....but your car looks nice...so maybe I need to reconsider and do it myself.
Maybe off topic but what is your choice for shining up the tires? What product do you use?
Chemical Guys Extreme VRT dressing or Liquid Extreme Shine. Depending on how shiny you want it to be.

That's why you get a porter cable. haha so you don't get huge biceps a couple days after detailing.

I washed and waxed the wheels. The front wheels got a ridiculous amount of brake dust on them before I detailed. It was quite nasty. I just forgot the tire dressing.
