Hi I was just wondering what were the stock 17" IS250 AWD tires? I've been hearing all 17" on the 2nd gen IS use Bridgestone RE92's. I hope this is not true be cause those tires are brutal and I would have up change those up right away.

Many AWD's come with RE92, mine did and your right they are not the best tire around.
Some IS's do come with Dunlops also, haven't heard much about them and I'm not sure what the mix is of Dunlops to RE92s on the cars.
The tires are only good for about 18K miles so it will not be long til they will need replaceing.

Overall I'm really enjoying this car and am very very very (you get the idea) happy with my purchase.
Let us know what you decide

Thanks, yeah I've had previous experience running on RE92's on my Subaru Impreza and they were horrible if you wanted to have a little fun. Definitely not very inspiring at all. Some people seem to have had the Dunlops too. I suppose I should just get a set of new rims and tires when I do order my car. I do plan to get the IS250 AWD just depends what tires/rims I decide to go with. Only thing that's bothering me is that it seems a lot of aftermarket rims can't fit the tire pressure sensors.

I have the dunlop sp sports on mine and they are not bad for all-season tires. I've driven them in snow, rain, and dry pavement and the grip is pretty good. One thing I don't like is how they are rather noisy.. In the car, I can hear the tires more than the engine. However, I did track the car once and surprisingly, the tires did not slip as much as I had expected.
