Default G-spider wheel cost

hey guys, i bought g-spider wheels for my car a couple months ago and i was wondering about what you guys think, i think they ripped me off...it seems obvious, but i just wanted to see what you guys thought

i paid 1400 for 4 g-spiders and they took my stock wheels

also, i found this which makes me pretty angry...

Yeah, bummer dude . You can get a set of 4 for just under $1K, and keep your originals - then you could have a set w/ summer tires and the other w/ winter tires. Just out of curiosity how did you let them talk you out of your originals? The only way I've heard this happening is if you get the spiders as an "upgrade" when you order the car.

Not to make it worse / rub it in.... Sewell Lexus / Lexus-Parts.com is a forum sponsor and you'd get 10% off as a ClubLexus member.

Pays to research, sorry you got the short stick.

James,

The G-spiders have been out since well before the 2IS was released. We have threads back to Feb 2005 and earlier discussing them.

pictures have been released, the wheels themselves did not go on sale until after the car was released, in my state at least...

Nope, they were optional on the 3rd gen GS last year pretty much everywhere.

Maybe your dealer didn't offer them for sale with the 2IS until recently, but that's their own fault. They are far from 'new'.

Sorry about your experience.

I am not to blame as I have been sharing info on these wheels since December.

I believe that they only came in 18x8 for the 3GS. I thought that the IS350 staggered
setup ran 18x8.5 in the rear, so he might be technically right

In any case, Lexus-parts has great deals on these OEM wheels.
