Just wondered if this 3M kit is legit or if other kits (say from Aerotect) are better . . .

3M Clear Bra on Ebay

It is $165 . . . is this the premium kit that covers more of the hood, or is this the base kit? Just wondering if this is the same type kit other companies like Aerotect sell . . . also does this come with everything that you need?

Has anyone bought a clear bra like this off of ebay?

 

Man that is cheap...im on it. Looks like it includes everything from the mirrors to the bumper.

 

Just go to Xpel and buy a legit version with instructions, tools and warranty.

AeroTect is an authorized Xpel dealer and sells only Xpel paint protection kits. The chip guard kits sold on Ebay and elsewhere are not Xpel kits and have many small pieces to install.

 

This is a good deal and all, but see yeah I knew there was something to it, no warranty, etc. thanks! Still a great deal, but Im not gonna cut any corners with this car . . .

 

So AeroTech sells the precut Xpel kits?

Do you have the 2IS kit with cutouts for PA and HW?

I don't know about the other website, but this one is legit. I was able to save a few bucks by having my brother help me install it. I paid an extra $30 to get additional film to cover the headlights and foglights. The trickiest part to install was the side mirrors and headlights due to all the contouring of those pieces. Overall the install went fairly smooth.

If you order from these guys, you have to tell them which package you have. If your IS has the headlight squirters, it's a different kit.

 

I got one on eBay, and I'll go to Toyota dealership to install it tomorrow, it only cost $90. its far cheaper then install it in Lexus. I'll post some pics if I have a chance.

So if you have park assist or headlight washers you have to tell them? Those are the only options that matter?
