Default Some fun with my new IS...

Hi guys,

Do you have any idea how hard it is to keep 2 black cars clean? It takes 2x longer to wash/wax the IS350 than it does the NSX!

What can I say about the IS350, it's a sweet car. So far I've raced and beaten a 1993 LT1 Corvette and a 2000+ WS6 Trans AM. The Corvette owner was laughing afterwards because he did not expect it. The WS6 driver would not even pull up next to us at the next light! Both times were 0-60 runs and I had a passenger.

I don't have the mod bug on the IS350 (yet anyway). Downsides... the front wheels are a PITA to keep clean and the paddle shifters are pretty much a gimmick.

Is the IS350 faster than the NSX?

Stock vs. stock, I would say the IS350 is dead even or maybe a little quicker than the 1st gen NSX (NA1) but not as fast as the 2nd gen NSX (NA2). My 1st gen NSX is modified and about 300lbs. lighter than stock so it's a bit faster than the IS350 in a straightline.

3 jobs! But I'm sure you enjoy your jobs. I hope.

Beautiful collection of cars. The IS seems to blend naturally among the tiny 2 door sports cars.

Man, I'm loving that NSX.

I would bet that the first gen NSX's are actually cheaper then the IS350 base.

NICE! Glad to hear the IS 350 is quick. How do our cars fair with the Nissan 350Z? or G35c? I bet I can search it but eh... figured I'll just post it here since the topic came up.

Yes, they actually are. 2 years ago my best friend picked up a 1990 Black NSX for $14,000! Car only had 45k on it and has never been in an accident and always garaged.

I have both now and the IS is noticeably quicker than my coupe even with mods. The guys on the G and Z forums are all pretty much recognizing this now. A G/Z with a stick and a great driver will put up a decent challenge but stock for stock, the IS is faster.

You just have to watch out for guys with FI.

Nice cars!

I love the NSX!

Those that said they want to live in a dream. You can get a 1991 NSX for roughly $25k.
