Dave

ps, I've never hit 21mpg on a tankful on the 350, but for sure hit that on my M3. In fact, I never hit less than 21mpg on the M3.
I drive now with PWR mode always on and I feel a little better throttle response. And no, it does not seem to affect my gas milage. I try to be good, but I can't help it and i average about 16MPG every tank, but I don't mind too much?

And just curious, you went from an //M3 to an IS350? Why is that?
Well whatever the reason, I'm glad you have joined the Lexus family.

Anyway, does anyone know what's the difference on gas milage between the regular mode and the PWR mode??
I am sure the gas milage will be less with PWR mode on because the transmission change gear later than the regular mode and the engine rev higher before switching to the next gear. That use more gas. With stop and go traffic, you will be lucky if you get 20mpg average. Well, it also depends on how itchy your right foot is that makes you press on the gas padal all the way like I usually do.

Hey, jsquared. Our avatar pics are almost the same just that mine has bad quality after I try to shrink the size to the requirement. I will work on mine to make the quality better.

I've been drivng a lot on the 90 % on the freeway for the last two weeks on my IS350. On my last tank I got 411 miles when my range approx hit 0. By the time i got to the gas station it was 415.

This week I tried to cruise even more and so far I have 382 miles and 32 mile left on the range approx. My best tank average was 27.8 tank average. Some of you thinks i'm bull s....

Beleive me, I was shock too!!!!!!
when I used to work 6 miles local from my house my I get about 310 to 320 when my range approx hit 2 miles left.

My girl's 250 hit almost 480 every time and her best tank average was 39.2.
