close your hood until it is about 8 inches from the top of the grill, then just let go...

then press the unhook switch or w/e you call it inside the car, the toggle the switch in the grill to open it up to make sure nothing is jammed, then just drive lifting and dropping from a higher and higher distance till it locks

hood is hard to close, place hands on the hood above the latch (close together) and push down. No need to start sooo high, actually the closer the better.

Here is my advice, go and pump some iron then try again. j/k !!!

Double check all of the rubber seals and if they are all sitting properly. Something is keeping it from closing.

sigh... even though i used Lexus 24/7 roadside help.. it still wasnt able to close.. i think its cuz the hook thats suppose to latch on isnt of the correct length so the latch cant close properly.. arent all of these stuff inspected pre-selling the car?? time to go to the dealership first thing 2maro morning..

Are you serious?

Well, don't drive too fast to the dealer now.

it took 3 guys to finally close it.. lol the first two also werent able to close it. then finally a 3rd lexus service guy came and just slammed it VERY hard and it slammed shut.. he said that.. it was the only way to close the hood... now i never open the hood in fear of having to slam it so hard, unless it is very important
