Ok, I'm a little disturbed... I can't believe that the IS is supposed to have carpeted rear wheel well liners. I was just out pulling the wheels off my car, and noticed that the rear wheel wells have a carpeted (like the trunk) liner. My real bet is that someone in Kyocera forgot to put in the plastic liners.
If so, I need to schedule an appointment. Could someone please to feel their rear wheel well liners for me and let me know if they're plastic or not?
Many thanks!

But if that's the way Lexus wants it, that's the way they get it.

I'm suprised that the fronts dont have them. I can hear a lot more road noise because of that.
And yes Mercedes and BMWs have felt wheel linings on all 4 wheel wells. I like how it helps cut down on road noise.

Dont worry about it. It works really well. I had them on my CLK500 and it keeps tiny rocks from being "flung", when driving in wet conditions. It also cuts down on the road noise. Your gonna be glad they are like that.

I've noticed this as well. Anyone have any ideas on how to keep them clean and looking good? I've got a feeling that they'll weather over time. And they probably won't clean up nearly as well as a plastic cover w/ Armor All (or other) silicone dressing. I want to get them looking as clean and black as they were the day I picked up the car.
