Smile Lawrence Lexus and Thompson Lexus and 2007 IS Models

Hi, everyone! Today, I went to Lawrence Lexus in NJ and tried to get some info on the 2007 IS models. The dealer told me that he absolutely had no information on it. He could not give me a price for the 07 and a list of options for the car. He also gave me a piece of paper that said "2006 Lexus IS 350 RWD Build Chart." There is only two types of configurations which cost $38734 and $43069. So, I figured that I need to special order it now. I want to pick up my car at around end of August or beginning of September. From some CL member, I heard the 2007 model will arrive at that time. Thus, I thought that I should just special order a 2007 one. But, is it really true that the 2007 will arrive around that time? I'll try to go to Thompson Lexus to ask about the 2007 model some time. I would like hope that anyone can give me some feedback on both of these dealership? What were your experiences with them? Who did you deal with that give you a good price? Thank you very MUCH!!!!

I tried dealing with both the dealers you mentioned and they wouldnt even come close to Ray Catena Lexus. Ray Catena gave me 3128 off sticker and both dealers wouldn't come close to that price. I had an SC430 and I tried dealing with Lawrence Lexus and they also could not beat Ray Catena. They were at least friendly. The internet guy from Thompson was arrogant and wouldnt quote me prices unless I came in.

Also, if you are planning on special ordering the car, I know there is a time frame where they are going to hold on orders for the 2007 models. So you might have to wait a little longer than you had planned if you want to special order a '07.

Thank you! May I ask you where did you get this information? Did your dealer tell you that? Thanks

For all they know, you could have just moved there after buying from your "local" dealer elsewhere. They can't realistically expect you to only get it serviced where you bought it.

The only thing you won't be able to get buying remote is the 2 year 20-25k "maintainence package" some dealers have. We got one thrown in on my wifes RX350 and is only good if you buy it there...

That's what I heard from one of the threads here earlier this week or last week. I haven't talked to Lexus about it, so I don't know for sure.

Check your PM - I live next to Thomson Lexus in PA, work next to Lawrence Lexus in NJ and got my last car from Ray Catena...

Also I read rumours that some 2007 models might have a VDIM 'off' switch.
