Just got pulled over for speeding then...
LOL. I was on the i5 going north and I was going 87mph on a 65 zone... it was about 11:00pm. Cops pull me over... I quickly roll down my windows before I pull over to the side on the freeway since I have limo tint on my is250. The officer walks up to my car and then does the whole license and reg thing... and when I reply to him it seems that he couldnt hear me very well and so he politely asked me to roll up my drivers side window... =) and LOL... yup you guessed it... I got a tint ticket... HAHAHA. I find it funny. Hey its better than being a grump about it. Anyways, I'm the first person I know who has ever gotten a tint ticket here in Ca. Just wanted to share with you guys. Take Care!

bad luck man =( i hear its 50 dollars for the initial stop.... plus 5 dollars for every mile over the speed limit? i guess that will give you an idea how much your ticket will be =x
87-65 = 22
22x5 + 50 = 160 bucks

It was radar (my friend just got a speeding ticket and he said it was 189 plus 31 for traffic school)... Anyone here familiar with getting tint tickets? how do I go about paying for the fix-it ticket after I take out my front tint? Do I go to a court house? All I know is that a cop or somone has to check out the car to see if I took out the tint. But once I get that taken care of... the tint is gettin put back on. Thats for sure! =)

so u got a fix it ticket and not a ticket ticket, because cali made a law a few years back where you can keep the tint as long as you want if you get a ticket ticket, but u can keep getting ticketed. BUT, if u get a fix up ticket, its just $10 for the fine, take off the tint, goto a police station to have them check it to sign it off and give that ticket for the court, because the court will not check you taking out the tint. so it depends what kinda ticket it is.

Can someone who has had or knows someone who has had mulitple window tint infractions on the same vehicle please elaborate on the second, third, etc. penalities. I got a tint ticket a few years back and paid the $100 fine and left the tint on, but what happens if you get pulled over again. I know a buddy of mine had his tint forceably removed by the cop(although he did have limo on his front), whereas I had 35%. I heard they can impound your car after the first offensive. Please let me know.

I got a TINT ticket 1 day after I had my tint put on. It was in November of 2005, The car didnt even have it's plates yet--I would say the car might have been 2 weeks old?
Anyway, it was a Ticket-Ticket, so I just paid and moved on. I think I got pulled over because I had taken the "Lexus" plates off and was all BLACKED out

Lucky you don't live here in VA. Anything over the speed limit by 20+ is an instant court appearance for a class 1 misdimeaner with potential jail time and loss of license. I was caught doing 82 in a 55 and got a lawyer and he was able to reduce it to speeding, which it should have only been to begin with IMHO.
