Shark Fin Installed Part 2 (pics)
Thank you to those CL members who support me in this Shark Fin project. To be frank, I did learn a lot from your guys after I bought my first Lexus. Now what I am doing is just to share my experience to those CL members who might be interested. That's it!
BTW, I didn't stick it on my roof using 3M tape because I am still waiting for some Japan IS owners to tell me the right position to put it on. I believe that we have CL members from Japan
If you're watching, please pm me the distance in the following picture. Thank you very much!

I think it will definitely be a conversation starter for people that see it and don't know that it doesn't come on the car. Can't you just see them going into a dealership and saying they want the sharkfin on the car and the dealer trying to tell them it doesn't have one and them saying, YES I've definitely seen it
I like the looks of it. It would be great if that is where the SAT wires were. Thanks for the pictures.

I'm just curious, how did you order the sharkfin? Where did you get it from?
Personally I like the look. One question though: What happens when it rains? Does the rubber seal prevent water and moisture from getting trapped under the sharkfin?

It looks a little too close to the back window compared to the first pic (silver car) you posted. Move it a little more forward.
And I do have to admit, it looks like a Bimmer-wannabe. Sorry, but the shark fin is not very Lexus (at least here in the U.S.)

The shark fin is not my cup of tea, sorry.
Why did you only debadge only one side of the car? It looks asymmetrical. I think it would look better with just the stylized "L" on the trunk but no "Lexus" badge.
On a positive note, the trunk spoiler is very classy, and you have a nice garage.

Seems contradictory
That a guy who wants to clean up his back end by debadging would add something to the roofline which seems so out of place.
Not my cup of tea, but do like the debadged portion & cool garage flooring.

Case in point: I think the parking assist sensors on my car are butt-ugly, but I tolerate them because they are necessary to make the system work. (My jaw would hit the floor if I heard that someone was adding those for cosmetic effect!)

To each their own. I agree that it spoils the roof line. Personally, I don't think I'd mind having it on the car if it were for the Sat/Nav or XM radio (I mean that if it were functional, I wouldn't _remove_ it), but, I wouldn't want to add it to the vehicle.
I agree that's a nice garage.
