Agreed, if I was going to keep a car for 10 years, I'd FIND a way to get the 350 AND nav. Even if it means waiting another couple months. If you order a 350 with nav, you might have no option but to wait a while until your order is in anyway.
I have a 350 with nav and if you asked me to give one up, I couldn't. While I do use the power more than the nav, the times I do use nav, I REALLY need it. Best advise is to drive the 350 and see if the extra 100hp is something you want bad enough. I have not drivin a 250 but there are several 250 owners here that feel it has adequate power. About the only complaint i've heard was about excessive downshifting when going up a hill in a 250.

My brother took delivery of his IS 250 RWD last month and i think its a beautiful car. My wife has a TSX and I feel that sometimes it lacks power, especially when driving up a hill (there are a lot where I live). The 250's power is some what similar to that of the TSX other than the two extra cylinders. I have been visiting the forum on a daily basis now and notice that a majority of you own the IS 350.
I'm Canadian and ordered the sport package on the 250 but am now having second thoughts and think that maybe I should order the 350 due to more power. I will be keeping the car for at least 10 years.
Unfortunately, the decesion for me is not cut and dry due to financial constraints. If I do go ahead and order the 350, I can only get the moonroof package. Would you guys sacrifice some of the convenience and or luxury features of the soprts package for more power? I have until next week to change my order. Even though the ultimate decesion will be mine, your comments and insight would help in the decesion making process!

Save your pennies and get a 350 with Nav. Either wait a couple of months and save a little extra for a down payment, or start rerouting $50 a month out of your budget from other expenses.
You can always look out for a used one, which may be floating around soon, especially if a coupe/convertible is coming next year. Who knows?

I went with the 250 loaded. But I also needed the AWD.

If you're keeping the car for 10 yrs I wouldn't worry about the NAV cuz in 10 yrs time the NAV will be really a POS compared to the NAV in other cars. Heck in maybe 3 or 4 yrs my cell phone will have better NAV than the Lexus NAV my sprint phone already has google maps it's only a matter of another year or two when NAV is available on cells.

It seems like money is a big factor to you. I would recommend to keep the TSX since upgrading TSX to 250 is not that much of difference. TSX is still a very good car - reliable and good enough for daily driving if you/wife do not need the extra horses and a lot cheaper to maintain.
Between the 250 and 350, just ask yourself if you use that much horse power. If you want a fast car, get the 350 or find someway for a loaded 350.
As for me, since I enjoy driving a car with more horsepower, I got rid of my old Acura TL for the loaded 350. I still miss my TL but I enjoy all the nice features that 350 has to offer. If I keep the TL, it would save me a lot of money already. For insurance as an example, my rate went up almost double. Other things to consider is the maintenace cost. For example, with the 18" tires, I will need to replace them for close to $1000 every 15k - 25k miles, depending how you drive. That is 4X the cost comparing to the TL (tires are about half the cost and they will last twice as long).
