the glowplug? How does it start? Is the diesel noisy or have any rattle? Is the power comparable to the IS250?

what other cars did you look at before getting the 220d

 

you just puch the engine button
the sound is ok bud you hear its a diesel when the engine is cold
its not that noisy
i think its an differend drive style .this is my first car whit a diesel

 

In Europe, as we do like diesel 'cos of gas pricing, I had these possible alternatives, with a pricing around 41-44k euro:
- Alfa Romeo 159 SW 2.4 JTD
- Audi 4 Avant 2.7 TDI
- BMW 330d
...and then I casually found out the Lexus on a TV spot... (not so famous in Italy, yet)

And, after several test drives I chose the Lexus!!
IMHO Lexi beats the others hands down (except for the engine): for that amount of money you get MUCH more "features" than the others, and with by far higher quality.
My very personal scorecard:
- heart & style: Alfa 159sw - 8
- space: Audi 4 Avant - 7,5
- engine: BMW 330d - 7,5
- overall, gadgety: Lexi 220d - 9

And now I cannot stand the wait to the end of june for receiving it!!
